Before I joined B-School, I’d been selling ornaments mostly on eBay and Etsy to make a little bit of extra money around Christmas time. I think in my first year I made like negative $3,000. It was kind of an expensive hobby. I even had someone close to me say, "That's really cute what you're doing, but it's probably time that you get a real job."

A year and a half into it, my husband had a motorcycle accident and passed away. I became a widow. I had not graduated college and had been a stay-at-home mom with no career for my entire adult life.

At that point, I had a decision to make. I had two kids. They were three and seven years old. I wanted to continue to be a stay-at-home mom and turn my little ornament business into something that could support us. Should I continue trying to do this expensive hobby? Or go get a “real job” and put my kids into daycare and after school care?

It seemed like a crazy decision, but I decided to go for my ornament business. I enrolled in B-School and promoted a new idea to my audience. On opening day I sold about 340 memberships within just a few hours. I sold out of all the product I had!

Now, things are a little bit different…

We are now at over 3,000 members. In 2015, I had my first 6-figure year. In 2018, we reached our first 7 figure year and I have a 10-person team now.

This year I bought an old lake home (my dream home) with a 2,000 square foot shop on the property to run my business from so I can still be a stay at home mom to my kiddos, even though they are older now. It's amazing and almost unbelievable how much my life has changed.

Before B-School, I was pretty sure it was impossible to make a full-time income with something like folded fabric Christmas ornaments. After B-School, the possibilities are endless, and I couldn't be more grateful.
