Before B-School, I was struggling to promote my services. I was working with brands I didn’t believe in and I wanted control of my business and my finances.
Because of B-School, I was able to write my very first cookbook, which has been a dream of mine for more than a decade.
I’ve also been able to participate in the forming of two companies. First, The Wild Rose Collective, where we use stories of past feminists to encourage women through workshops, events, and products. And I joined an independent publishing press as the Creative Director — all while working on a bunch of my own projects.
B-School taught me that I can work on multiple things, support myself financially and feel creatively fulfilled.
I was able to take a big overwhelming dream and break it down into the where, when, how — plus a bunch of really nerdy spreadsheets. Because of B-School, I made my dream come true.
To someone thinking about B-School, I think you already know the answer. You already have that voice inside you. I know I did. I have lots of ideas, but you need that structure and that strategy to make it a long-term plan that really serves you and enables you to serve other people. So just do it!
