Hey, it’s Marie Forleo and welcome to another episode of The Marie Forleo Podcast and MarieTV, the place to be to create a business and life you love! Today I want to talk about one of my favorite marketing strategies literally of all time.
If you’re somebody who wants more people to respond to your emails and social posts, OR you just want to make more money in your business, you NEED to not only know this strategy, but use it effectively and consistently and I’m going to talk to you about why.
Now you might have heard me say this phrase before, especially if you watch the show or listen a lot, and if you were a member of my team — you’d probably hear me say this multiple times a week. That’s how much I love it. Here’s the phrase and the strategy — I want you to write this down:
Facts Tell, Stories Sell. I’ll say it one more time to make sure you get it. Facts TELL, Stories sell. And here are three reasons why this is true:
Reason # 1. Stories create TRUST.
How is that, you might be asking? Stories create this instant emotional connection with your audience. And an emotional connection is the foundation of trust. And TRUST is essential for all sales. Translation: when somebody trusts you — they are WAAAY more likely to buy from you!!
I want you to take a woman named, Tonia Winchester, a Naturopathic Doctor, for example. Tonia is one of my Copy Cure students. So for those of you who don’t know, the Copy Cure is our flagship writing course that is OPEN for registration today — we go VERY deep into how to use stories to sell.
