I was so afraid of failure that I almost didn’t start my business. I’m a recovering perfectionist who often got stuck in the research stage. B-School gave me concrete action steps to prepare me for starting my new venture. I focused on taking small steps because it was less overwhelming to overcome my fear one checklist at a time.

Without B-School, Bawdy Bookworms might not even be around. What I learned in B-School gave me the confidence to apply for the Perfect Pitch competition at a social media conference called Blogalicious. As one of three finalists, I presented my pitch live on stage and won a grant for my business!

The first year was a rough start – I felt lost. I almost quit my first year in business, but I “re-enrolled” in B-School in 2015. I told myself that I’d give my business one more year before giving up. Now I’m never giving up. Fast forward to now, where our quarterly subscribers grew 71% between our spring and summer box!
