mariekendra.JPG Two weeks ago, my good friend Kendra Todd and I had an absolute BLAST having a multi-day girl’s retreat at my beach house in Sag Harbor, NY. (You may recognize Kendra as the first fabulous female to win Donald Trumps, “The Apprentice”.) I told Kendra I wanted to take her to a transformational yoga class at Yoga Shanti in Sag Harbor. At first she resisted because apparently, her only yoga experience was with some not-so-hot yoga teachers.

I’m not a gal who easily takes “no” for an answer so I coaxed my friend into down dog with some of her favorite morning coffee and a promise that if she really didn’t like it, I wouldn’t make her go back.

Thankfully, she trusted me enough to give yoga another try and walked away LOVING it! We went two days in a row and she rocked it out. I’ll tell you, when it comes to learning ANYTHING new, it all comes down to having the **right teacher**!!

37001751thm.jpgHave you ever wondered about what it takes to change your habits?

Do you “know” what you need to do but find it difficult or near impossible to actually put those changes into practice?

Then read on because I’ve got a few simple, yet, powerful ideas to help you out…

Here’s what Jennifer from Texas writes:

“What sort of actions can a person take to change their habits? I mean, I understand that awareness is the biggest part of the solution. However, I currently do the same stuff over and over.

Even though I want to come home to fix gourmet dinners for my husband with relaxing jazz music playing over the Bose system, I am so tired when I get home. Or at least that is what I tell myself everyday.

I have all of the tools to fix these dinners, but I don’t want to put forth the effort because, in all honesty, I probably don’t want to spend the time and then have to clean up the mess.

In my perfect world, I see myself as a woman who has a good paying job (just got this a few months ago - a 50% increase that I never thought I would get) who keeps a clean house (I never make the time to clean), takes pride in her appearance (I have not been doing this for a few years) and cooks wonderful romantic dinners for 2 (I have all of the cookware and nice china, I just don’t use them).

So, you see - I have all of the tools to make this happen, but I cannot get out of my rut!

I have read your book and I love it. I even took notes and put it in my “lifestyle book.” I just need help figuring out how to implement these changes in a way that it will stick!”

Ooooh. This is SUCH a juicy question Jennifer. It’s bursting with opportunities for transformation.

And while I could write about this for days, I’ll keep it brief and give you what you need to get started!
