The “Secret Ingredient” To Getting What You Want
Today is a VERY special day. Want to know why? Because it’s my BIRTHDAY. (Yay for me!!!)
But before I head out to celebrate, I wanted to share an idea with you that’s been dear to my heart lately. It’s brought me countless miracles and once you “get it”, the impact on your life will be truly priceless.

Have you ever wanted something for yourself but said no because of time or money? Do you ever look at an opportunity, get really excited, but then get caught in your thoughts and listen to all the “reasonable” reasons why you can’t go for it?
I remember a time in my life when I let the apparent lack of money and time dictate how I lived. I remember hearing the instant “I can’t
afford that…” or “I won’t be able to pull that off…” thought, believe it to be true and then live my life in a state of lack and contraction.
Thankfully, I discovered a whole other possibility. I found that the lack of time, money and even expertise is only a temporary illusion. An easily resolvable situation that only requires one “secret ingredient.” And this “secret ingredient” has nothing to do with your education, wealth or experience.
In fact, you already have this “secret ingredient” , you just may not be aware of how to access it. Now before I reveal what it is and how YOU can start using it today, I want to tell you a short story about how I stumbled upon the “secret ingredient” for myself.
About 6 years ago, I heard about a 10 day retreat I wanted to attend in Chile. I remember looking at a postcard with information
about the retreat and saying to myself, “I need to be there.”
I didn’t understand it fully, but something inside of me was very clear that I had to be on that trip.
The only problem, of course, was the money. At that time, I didn’t have an extra $4000 laying around nor did I know how I could come up with that kind of money within 2 months.
But something inside me was stirred. It kept saying that I needed to be on that trip - and itwouldn’t let up. What happened next was
a moment that would forever change the course of my life. I took a deep breath and simply decided I was going.
I made a COMMITMENT to go and told several people about my decision.
I realized that unless I started going for what I wanted - my whole life would be dominated by fear and lack. Something deep inside me just knew that it wasn’t about finding the money FIRST, it was about trusting myself and moving into the space I wanted to live from.
Now was I scared to make that statement? You bet. But the instant surge of excitement and enthusiasm I felt for finally making
a choice based on my heart’s true DESIRE far outweighed the uncomfortable fear that came along with making a bold move.
Here’s where this gets even better:
Once I made the decision to go, my whole world began to open up in a new way.
Opportunities to make money began showing up everywhere. It was like magic and far beyond what my mind could have conceived of PRIOR to making the decision to go.
Now don’t get me wrong, it’s not like the money fairy came by and dropped 4K on my doorstep. I was fully COMMITTED to working and actively seeking opportunities to generate income all over the place.
But there was no strife or struggle involved. There was no desperation or anxiety. Things started to line up perfectly, as though by divine guidance. I was so genuinely excited about going for my life rather than succumbing to my fears that I allowed that enthusiasm to carry me through.
I worked all kinds of jobs and didn’t find myself tired or resentful. It was as though something powerful had awoken within.
And by the time I was on the plane to South America, I had 80% of the course paid for with a plan to handle the rest upon my return.
So why was that trip so life changing?
Two reasons:
1) I learned about the “secret ingredient”
2) I met and fell in love with my fiance
Josh on that trip.
So incased you missed it, the “secret ingredient” that’s already inside you is your COMMITMENT. Commitment is a spiritual power tool that can produce miracles of any size or stature.
Once you say YES to something - no matter what it is, and you are clear that THAT’s what you want, you’ll be shocked at how the Universe will conspire to support you.
When you start trusting your heart instead of your “logic system” you’ll re-align with your personal power and be able to create anything and everything you want.
Since that wonderful trip, I’ve witnessed this “secret ingredient” produce clients, jobs, amounts of money, trips and even relationships - both for myself and for my clients.
Your personal power is so much greater than you could ever imagine. But the key is to keep trusting your HEART and moving in the direction you want to go - even if you don’t know “how” things will work out.
To be honest, the “how” is none of your business. You can leave that to the higher powers that be. But the act of GOING FOR WHAT YOU WANT is 100% your responsibility. No one can do that for you but you.
And frankly, that’s the easy part - once you’ve know how to distinguish from your “hearts desire” and what you THINK you should do.

My heart sinks at the hucksterism of this post. Like a spiritual vampire, you suck any remaining spirit out of the hopeless by offering to help them for a fee. I’m sure YOUR new year will be just fine, because many will fall victim to this scam. The ‘make a commitment’ approach is a time-honored sales method. I learned it from my father, a very successful salesman. However, even he had remorse about scamming people into wanting things they could not afford that were ‘guaranteed’ to improve their quality of life. I doubt if you have such feelings.

Thank you for your words of encouragement. Sometimes I just need to hear them from someone to keep going after what I really want out of life, and push myself into what I’m too scared to TRY. Commitment to myself doesn’t come easily as it’s easier to commit to something for someone else ( spouse, kids, work etc). I’m making a promise to myself where I can say on December 31st 2008, “I went for it and I DID it”.
I was disheartened by the first two posts left to this blog. Your marketing skills are top notch but no where have I seen you promise anyone the moon and I think some readers expect it. Only we can give ourselves the moon should we so want it. Your writing in this blog is uplifting and makes me want to work harder for the things I really want out of life and for that, thank you.

I’ve never gotten any of your one on one coaching but the messages you send in your emails seem to be what I need to hear.
