Do You Find It Hard To Take A Break?

Let me ask you a question…

Do you ever find it hard to take a break? Or feel guilty about making time for fun?

You know, the kind of fun that has no productive “benefit” or is not a means to get somewhere else?

Last week, I started feeling cranky and took that as a sign to step away from the computer, get outside and do something creative.

And while I admit feeling the initial pangs of guilt for doing something frivolous during “work hours”, I quickly got over it! Here’s some of the fruit of my 2 hour escapade to the Green Market here in NYC. I was itching for some killer fall inspired window boxes and they turned out even better than I expected.

(The sweeteest part is that I’ve been watching photographers walk past our home and snap pictures day and night!!!)

So how does this relate to your life?

Well, if you’re a driven, motivated and borderline work-a-holic-go-getter like me, use this email as your official “permission slip” to have some Halloween fun.

We often gravely underestimate the value of good ol’ fun in our lives and can find ourselves feeling stale, burned out and yes…cranky. It’s easy to get caught up in stress and overwhelm trying to “do it right”. But if you remember last week’s post, YOU CAN’T DO IT WRONG! :)
In fact, I was speaking with a client earlier today and we spoke about one of the keys to winning in relationship (and in business) is to keep having a good time. After all, if you’re so freaking serious that people can’t stand to be around you - it doesn’t matter how rich and successful you become. You’ll have no one to share it with!

Want a little FREE Halloween fun right now? Visit Ben& Jerry’s interactive Halloween site here.

Be sure to turn up your speakers and give yourself time to play. Wander around and click on all the goodies. It’s really amazing what they’ve put together. Especially the “dead flavors” category!

As always, thanks for reading.

I look forward to talking with you again soon…

With love,

Marie
